Based on the book by Eliot Asinof, about the 1919 Chicago White Sox scandal, when 8 baseball players on the team decide to throw the world series game in a money-making scheme. The eight baseball players included "Shoeless" Joe Jackson, Eddie Cicotte, "Lefty" Claude Williams, "Chick" Arnold Gandil, Fred McMullin, and "Swede" Charles Risberg, Buck Weaver and "Happy" Oscar Felsch.
